Cooking Classes at Someone's in the Kitchen
6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5 and Wednesday, Aug. 25
at Someone’s In The Kitchen, 1619 N. Main St., Princeton.
The classes will focus on locally-available and organic foods.
The Aug. 5 class will feature Indian Trail Farm of Kewanee, specializing in “certified fresh” produce and greens and Plow Creek Farm of Tiskilwa with berries, freshly-milled whole wheat flour, grass fed beef and organic vegetables.
The Aug. 25 class features Meadow Haven Organic Farm of Sheffield, specializing in certified-organic grass-fed beef, cage-free eggs and chicken and pastured pork. Coneflower Farm of Tiskilwa specializes in a vegetables and honey.
The cost is $30 per class or $50 for both and includes recipes used and samples.
Proceeds benefit Freedom House.
